KathmanduThe Kathmandu Valley One Day Sightseeing is an enriching cultural journey designed for travelers who want to experience the heart of Kathmandu in a limited time. It covers four major UNESCO sites in Kathmandu: Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square.
The Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour is not just about exploring monuments and sites. It’s all about learning and understanding the culture, traditions, and arts through the beautiful architecture constructed over two thousand years ago.
The journey begins with a Pashupatinath Temple – a sacred religious site dedicated to Lord Shiva, which means (The Auspicious One, also a part of the Three Deities. It is situated on the bank of the holy Bagmati River.
Next, we will explore the Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest spherical stupas in the world. It is also the worship centre of Tibetan Buddhism.
From here, we move towards the Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as Monkey Temple. It is one of the oldest Stupa’s serving as a unique pilgrimage site and equally significant for both Buddhism & Hinduism.
In the late afternoon, we will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square. It once served as the Royal Palace of the Malla and Shah Kings. The architecture of the site features Newari-style wood carvings, gilded metal works and classical pagoda structure.
As the day concludes, we will return to the hotel for some rest. Meanwhile, in the evening, you may head to Thamel for shopping and refreshments. You can also enjoy your favourite dinner and drinks at the exotic restaurant.
